Dr. Christoph U. Eichel started his career as an commissioned officer in the German armed forces, having studied and graduated at the university of the German armed forces in Munich, majoring in Security Politics. He completed his studies with an MBA in International Management in St. Gallen, Switzerland as well as Toronto, Canada. Previously he worked as a diplomat and Head of Political Affairs for several years at the branch office of the German Embassy Kabul in Kunduz, Afghanistan. Before Dr. Eichel joined Result Group, he was responsible for Global Security Risk for a German automotive group. Since October 2017 Dr. Eichel has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Result Group.

Dr. Nicholas Krohley is the Founder of FrontLine Advisory, a boutique research and advisory firm headquartered in London. He has broad global experience as an applied social scientist, providing field research and hands-on advisory support to private and public sector clients. He previously served with distinction as a Social Scientist in the U.S. Army’s Human Terrain System in Iraq, and also as a subject matter expert on the utility of the social sciences to military and intelligence operations to a range of European institutions. He is the author of “The Death of the Mehdi Army: The Rise, Fall, and Revival of Iraq’s Most Powerful Militia” (Oxford University Press, 2015), which was short-listed by the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) for the Duke of Westminster’s Medal. He holds Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in Middle East & Mediterranean Studies from King’s College London, and a B.A. from Yale University. 

 

Dr. Klaus von Lampe – Professor

Dr. Klaus von Lampe is an associate professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York. He holds advanced degrees in law and in political science from Free University Berlin and a PhD equivalent degree in jurisprudence/criminology from Goethe University, Frankfurt. Prior to his academic career he practiced law as an attorney with a specialization in representing victims of investment fraud. Dr. von Lampe has done research on various aspects of organized crime and illegal markets with a special focus on the illegal cigarette trade. He is editor-in-chief of the peer-reviewed journal Trends in Organized Crime and a member of the Cross-border Crime Colloquium Group. In 2016 he received the Outstanding Publication Award of the International Association for the Study of Organized Crime (IASOC) for his book Organized Crime: Analyzing Illegal Activities, Criminal Structures, and Extra-legal Governance (Sage, 2016).
